Weslock 1710J Julienne Privacy Door Knob Set with Premiere Rosette

A. There should be a small hole on the exterior knob of the Weslock 1710J. The emergency tool will be inserted and you will encounter some resistance. Press against it and the privacy lock should pop open.

A. The Weslock 1710J rosette is 5" in height and 2-1/2" in width. The knob diameter is 2-1/2" and the knob projection from the door is 2-1/2".

A. The Weslock 1710J does have a small access hole for an emergency tool on it's rosette (back plate).

A. The Weslock 1710J can come as any of those three latch types. If you select Round Corner Latch Type you will receive a round corner faceplate and a round corner strike plate. If you select Square Corner Latch Type you will receive a square corner faceplate and a square corner strike plate. If you select a drive-in latch type you will feceive a drive-in faceplate and a round strike plate. The faceplate can be found by opening the door and looking at the edge of the door (not on the door jamb, but on the door where the latch extends). That plate will have corners that are either round or square. This is required information mainly to avoid conflict with pre-drilled doors. A drive-in faceplate is used when the drilling is just slightly around the edges of where the latch is. This is installed against the door jamb and will usually be either round corner or square corner.

A. The Weslock 1710J, as well as the rest of the 1700 series, have visible screws. The 600 Julienne series screws are concealed.
