Not locked out I bought this because Weslock was one of the few companies that make an entry doorknob that remains UNlocked unless you purposely lock it. It seems that all the new locks stay locked unless you purposely unlock them, so if you head out to do laundry without your keys, you get locked out of your house. If you just step out to grab the mail and your 3 year old shuts the door, you're locked out. I know it's supposed to be a safety measure so that your door is automatically locked when you step in and close the door, but honestly, there's a million times bigger chance that I'll lock myself out than that someone will try to push into my street facing, busy neighborhood, people always out and around, apartment. So I wanted this type of lock, and I wanted it keyed the same as my deadbolt, so I bought the pair. The deadlock is much better than the one that came with my apartment. I love them both. How do I get the Weslock 441O keyed to match the existing locks?

A. This Weslock 441O Sonic Keyed Entry Door Knob Set can be keyed like you current keys so long as requirements are met. You can enter your key code on the product page if your current key code is 5 digits and the numbers in the key code can range from 0-9. You would simply select the "Keyed Alike" option under the product image and Free Keying Option then type your key code in the text box labeled "Key Code (Optional)".
